An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced nurse to join NHS Ayrshire & Arran’s Infection Prevention & Control Team (IPCT) as Senior Nurse - Infection Control. This is a permanent full time post (37.5hrs per week) which will commence on the 06th April 2020.
The postholder will lead the infection control nursing team reporting directly to the Infection Control Manager. They will be responsible for delivering key components the Infection Prevention and Control Annual Planned programme including audit, surveillance and education programmes. The post holder will be the Healthcare Associated Infection Education Lead for NHS Ayrshire & Arran
The successful candidate requires:
- First level registered nurse with relevant clinical experience
- Infection Prevention and Control qualification
- Highly experienced Infection Control Nurse
- Comprehensive knowledge of infection prevention and control
- Ability to lead a team in challenging and complex situations
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written are key components of the role
- Car driver with own transport is essential
This is a permanent full time post (37.5hrs per week) which will commence on the 06th April 2020.
