An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced research nurse to join the Beatson clinical trials team, which specialises in a wide range of cancer clinical trials. This post is part of wider restructure of the research nursing infrastructure supporting cancer research and will have team lead responsibilities, as well as a direct clinical role.
The Beatson Clinical Research Facility is an NHS facility which has support from a variety of organisations including the Chief Scientist’s Office, CRUK, Bloodwise Trials Accelerated Programme, IMPACT, Northern Alliance Advanced Therapy Treatment Centres & the University of Glasgow. The facility supports cancer clinical research across NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and the study portfolio includes early phase/ translational, first in human and phase I-III experimental and advanced therapy studies across a wide range of adult solid and haematological malignancies. We are looking for an experienced RGN with substantial post registration part of which should be in a senior role. Evidence of research experience and a post registration qualification/relevant experience in cancer or research. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is knowledge of the governance and legislative framework for conducting clinical research studies. Staff management experience is desirable. The shift pattern for this post is usually flexible office hours but with some out of hours required.
