Clinical Improvement Coordinator

This post provides an exciting opportunity to make a contribution to improving the quality of clinical care and services in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. You will work within the Clinical Governance Support Unit (CGSU), a Corporate Service managed within the Board Medical Directorate, which has a key organisational objective to support the NHSGGC Clinical Governance Policy. Corresponding work programmes relate to promoting and demonstrating high quality, safe, effective and person centred care and services.
This is a permanent post. The role will be agile and the base location is in Dykebar Hospital and the post-holder will be required to travel across all sites in NHSGGC.
You will be educated to degree level, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience and knowledge. With at least 3 years experience in a clinical governance / quality improvement related field, you will have a sound knowledge of, and experience in, quality improvement approaches, project management methodologies, and tools to support effective data handling. Experience working in the NHS is desirable but not essential.
You will be highly articulate, with well-developed influencing and negotiation skills, making you proficient in managing relationships and building networks. You will have highly developed problem solving, analytical and communication skills, and will be competent delivering information using a variety of approaches. You will be highly literate in PC use, with an excellent working knowledge of and understanding of the Microsoft office package.
