National Clinical Lead – Pharmacist (Ref:106593)
Primary Care Improvement Portfolio
Secondment until March 2024, 1 day per week (0.2 WTE)
Commensurate with existing salary
National role with some travel throughout Scotland required - hybrid working will apply for the foreseeable future
Visible, active, clinical engagement is central to the success of our work and will support service redesign and the delivery of clinically effective care to patients and their families.
Candidates should have extensive knowledge and recent experience of working in a primary care setting, such as a community pharmacy or GP practice. Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills will be fundamental to success in this role, particularly experience of effectively engaging diverse groups and the wider multidisciplinary team. It is important for candidates to have an understanding and experience of quality improvement methods. In addition, candidates will have knowledge of and understand the many improvement initiatives in primary care. For example, the Scottish Patient Safety Programme, the introduction of pharmacotherapy services, and embedding continuous improvement and patient safety practices in the delivery of pharmacy services in primary care.
It is essential that the post holder is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
