We require a Band 6 Clinical Nurse Specialist for the SPHERE Bladder and Bowel Service. 37.5 hours per week worked over 5 days, based in Pollok Health Centre. This is predominantly a clinic based post, covering several clinics in the South of Glasgow, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde area.
Your key responsibilities include providing a nurse specialist assessment of patient’s continence needs, and the implementation and evaluation of evidence based programmes of care, utilizing all available resources taking into consideration the lifestyle, gender and cultural background and ensure involvement with the patient, family, carers and significant others. You will be a specialist resource for the clinical management of patients and act as a role model through the provision of professional leadership and demonstration of competent and effective practice. Providing an effective change agent integrating information gained from research and audit into clinical practice, whilst maintaining patient records in line with NMC guidelines for records and record keeping. You will also support and manage junior staff.
