LOCUM APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE
IN VASCULAR ANAESTHESIA

Applications are welcome for the above fixed term, full time (40 hours per week) post based in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
The post is suitable for up to one year of post-CCT experience to start at a time to suit the department and the successful candidate.
Clinical duties will involve anaesthesia for patients having vascular surgery in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh including pre-operative assessment and assistance with post-operative care. In addition there will be duties for out-of-hours emergency anaesthesia in the Royal Infirmary.
The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh is the largest Teaching Hospital in Lothian, with approximately 870 beds. The Department of Anaesthesia is made up of 76 consultants, four specialty grade doctors, 30 anaesthetic trainees and 2 anaesthesia associates. We consider ourselves a dynamic and flexible team that offers first class care.
Our team of specialist vascular anaesthetists support a full range of open and endovascular surgeries. In addition, they work with our vascular surgeons to provide the national thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm service for Scotland.
The post does not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean and will not be recognised for training.
