Applications are invited from suitably qualified speech and language therapists to join the team of SLTs working with children with complex additional support needs. This post is based in Midlothian and will involve supporting children across a range of Education settings including Saltersgate School, specialist ASN provisions, enhanced support bases and outreach support in mainstream schools and early years settings across the Local Authority. Support provided encompasses specialist working with individuals as well as targeted and universal support to settings including CPD training and related supports for practitioners working with children with complex ASN.
Experience in this area of work is essential and a post graduate qualification or equivalent experience in eating drinking and swallowing is desirable.
The Speech and Language Therapy service is innovative and supportive. It is committed to the principles of clinical governance and clinical effectiveness to provide a high quality service focused on the child’s needs. Support is provided for clinicians in district based and clinically focused teams. All staff have a personal development plan and are encouraged to extend their skills through a variety of CPD activities.
