Medicine and Unscheduled Care Portfolio (Secondment – 31st March 2022)
There is an opportunity for a secondment to the role of Unit Operational Manager in the Medicine and Unscheduled Care Portfolio. This is an exciting time to contribute to the Senior Operational Management team within the Medicine & Unscheduled Care Portfolio, based in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, NHS Grampian.
We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic person with excellent communication and leadership skills who wants to work with people to ensure the delivery of the highest quality of care.
Within the role, you will lead, manage and be accountable for the planning and delivery of the services within the scope of your unit’s service alignment.
It is essential that you are educated to Master’s Degree level or equivalent and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of leading and managing change at a senior level within a Health and Social Care role. The ability to seek and incorporate the views of other significant stakeholders into the long term strategic direction of the portfolio and cross systems is necessary, as is an understanding of clinical service delivery.
The post holder will be required to participate in the ARI on-call duty manager rota.
The Medicine and Unscheduled Care Portfolio is currently undergoing organisational change, so the successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence and shape the new leadership structure. Owing to current gaps within the portfolio, and short term opportunity, support from your line manager to be released to take up the secondment within 4 weeks is essential.
For informal enquiries please contact: Judith Mclenan or Claire Nicholl, Divisional General Managers, Medicine & Unscheduled Care Portfolio via Management Secretaries Julie Thomson or Lorna Chalmers on 01224 553877 or via Microsoft Teams.
The closing date for applications is 22.07.22.
Interviews for this post will be held week commencing 31.07.22.
