MEDICAL SECRETARY (Part-Time 19.5h) BANCHORY GROUP PRACTICE
We are looking for a cheerful and efficient Medical Secretary to work within our busy secretarial department. Previous experience as a Medical Secretary with audio-typing skills is essential. Medical terminology and previous experience of working in a GP surgery would be an advantage.
Duties will include:
• Typing of dictation from audio transcription
• Liaising with medical colleagues via email and telephone
• Receiving, assisting and directing patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way
• Organising specialist clinics
• General practice administrative work
Essential Requirements:
• Audio-typing skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Work independently and ability use own initiative
• Previous experience as a Medical Secretary
• Excellent I.T. skills
Hours of work:
Monday 8.30am – 4.30pm
Tuesday 12.00pm – 4.30pm
Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm
