Due to upcoming retirement, a role for a Gynaecology Nurse Practitioner (CNP) within NHS Fife, has arisen. This is a permanent post, 37.5hrs available but can be negotiated with suitable applicant 

You will work collaboratively across NHS Fife to provide specialist nursing care for patients and will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team.  You will contribute to the continuous development of Gynaecology Services that deliver person centred, high quality care, in a safe and supportive environment.

You with work in the gynaecology in-patient area at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy providing a nurse-led gynaecology triage service, discharge co-ordination and pre-assessment when required. 

You must be a NMC Registered Nurse, educated to degree level with post registration experience in Gynaecology. You will have undertaken, or be willing to do so, a qualification in non-medical prescribing and clinical decision making. 

As a Gynaecology Nurse Practitioner, you will work to deliver specialist clinical care appropriate to the needs of the patient group and based on principles that are research based and which enhance the quality of patient care. 

With peer support from the wider multidisciplinary team the Nurse Practitioner will undertake nurse led clinics including both diagnosis and treatment and to be responsible for excellent standards of nursing care to patients through the planning, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating of nurse-led clinics and services. 

In addition you should possess enthusiasm, excellent team working skills with effective communication.
