The post:
The Service Management Office is a well-established element of Cloud Engineering & Operations (CE&O) within Digital and Security (DaS) and is responsible for the governance and ownership of service management processes, policy and procedures. Incident Management forms a critical aspect of customer service within CE&O and we strive to restore service to our customers pro-actively and efficiently as possible.
The candidate:
The Incident & Problem Management Service Manager, will play a pivotal role within the Service Management Office, providing analysis, reporting and guidance on Incident Management best practice and using their knowledge and experience to implement the Problem Management Process, aligning to an ITIL based framework.
A holistic understanding of Service Management will be required, as this role will manage more than one process. Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills is essential. You must be able to show initiative and prioritise work, manage your own workload and maintain high standards, with excellent attention to detail. You will be comfortable with working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. You will be experienced in using Service Management Tools such as ServiceNow.
Location and working pattern:
Location – Edinburgh, Gyle Square/Glasgow, Meridian Court
Monday to Friday – 37.5hrs per week
