The post holder will be expected to provide the day to day comprehensive, confidential, and efficient secretarial and administrative support to all team members of the Glasgow Psychological Trauma Service. This will include general typing and dealing with enquiries from service users and reception duties.
Duties will include telephone enquiries from all staff groups in the NHS, patients, relatives, carers and external agencies and the management of outpatient clinics. You will be expected to direct and prioritise queries as appropriate, to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery. You will assist in the management of the mental health patient information system (EMIS) for the team ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.
You should:
- be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office to set up documents and maintain and update databases/spreadsheets, showing competence in the use of a range of computer packages evidenced by experience or formal qualifications e.g. ECDL. The post holder works independently much of the time managing calls and emails.
- show knowledge of working in an office environment and of operation of office equipment and systems. This may be through formal training or work experience
