Job Description

Opportunities have arisen for experienced and enthusiastic physiotherapists to join the team providing MSK physiotherapy services across Grampian.  The successful applicants will have the opportunity to gain experience providing a service for patients predominately with musculoskeletal problems in outpatient settings across Aberdeen City and Shire, and also to cover a rotation in elective orthopaedics.  Rotations may include being part of a team involved in upper quadrant, lower quadrant and rehab, spinal, persistent pain, Rheumatology, Occupational Health, Pelvic dysfunction and also gaining skills working based within GP practices and Health Centres.

There will be opportunities to shadow Advanced Practitioners and FCP’s to gain an insight into their roles

These posts are an ideal opportunity for physiotherapists who want to specialise in the musculoskeletal field.  As well as having broad experience across a range of specialties, current or recent experience working in a musculoskeletal service is preferred.

A Band 5 to 6 run through experience may be considered for this post.  This will be based upon competencies and where this is offered, should be completed within a 6 month period.

The postholders will also be involved in the supervision of junior staff and students on clinical placement with the service

We support an active in-service training programme and promote relevant continuing professional development through regular appraisal and supervision.

You will gain experience in supporting the Orthopaedic service with priority physiotherapy cover by working on a weekend rota.

Permanent, temporary and bank posts available
