Fixed term 10 months post.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Orthopaedic Unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, working with Trauma and Elective patients. This is a temporary 10month post covering a vacancy and maternity Leave.
The Occupational Therapy staff work very closely with physiotherapy and MDT colleagues to provide comprehensive, patient-centred interventions.
The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner in managing a complex clinical caseload, and as an effective and efficient partner in the multi-disciplinary team. They will share responsibility for day to day operational issues within the Occupational Therapy Team, and be involved in service improvement, staff development, supervision, clinical effectiveness and student education.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate sound clinical reasoning and core Occupational Therapy skills and be able to apply these in treatment of Orthopaedic patients. They will be able to prioritise and work in a busy and fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a self-motivating and dynamic approach.
The successful candidate will have a diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy and a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience. The post required PVG scheme membership/Disclosure Scotland check and HCPC registration
The shift pattern is 5/7
