Full Time/Part Time Opportunities (min 3 days) Monday – Friday​​​​​​​


Banff & Fraserburgh Cluster – North Area


We are looking for enthusiastic, GPhC registered pharmacy technician(s) to join developing team to deliver pharmacotherapy services to practices across Banff & Fraserburgh cluster within North Aberdeenshire H&SCP.

 

The successful candidate(s) will work as members of the Aberdeenshire Pharmacotherapy teams, comprising pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.


The ideal candidates will be able to work well within a team, under direction and on their own initiative. Through on the job support and training successful candidates will gain experience to allow them to undertake a wide range of tasks such as medicines reconciliation, Medicines Care & Review, pharmaceutical queries including management of shortage and promote quality, cost-effective prescribing.  The role will also provide pharmaceutical support through reviewing of prescribing data, performing audits and implementing changes to prescribing practices.


Note the job description reflects only some of the evolving role of pharmacotherapy services that as a pharmacy technician you may become involved in with aspects such as medicines reconciliation being key to delivery of the service.


You may have a community or hospital pharmacy background or already be working within GP Practice as a pharmacy technician. Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills are essential.  Full driving licence and use of a car is essential.


Full time and part time opportunities available -part time generally min 3 days (22.5hours). Post will have agreed base (main place of work) and may involve remote and onsite working in practices within Banff & Fraserburgh cluster. 

Bases and place of work will be discussed at interview.


Banff & Fraserburgh Cluster includes: Saltoun & Finlayson Street Practices (Fraserburgh), Fraserburgh community hospital and Banff & AnCaorann Practices and Chalmers community hospital (Banff).​​​​​​​
