An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and friendly individual to join a dynamic and efficient Library Service team providing support across NHS Ayrshire & Arran.

Our Library services deliver a high quality, responsive library and knowledge management service in support of the delivery and continuous improvement of safe, effective, person-centred care. 

Key responsibility will include assisting the librarian in the provision of a information support service. 

This customer facing role involves helping library users find the information they need for patient care, professional development and research. The varied and interesting duties include: maintaining membership and library management data, interlibrary loan provision, and other general library duties. 

The ideal candidate will have a high standard of customer service skills, effective prioritising, organisational, and communication skills. IT skills are a pre-requisite, both in MS Office software and a willingness to continually update skills and knowledge. 

There are 2 positions, one at University Crosshouse Hospital and one post at University Hospital Ayr however there may be requirement for some cross site working. ​​​​​​​
