We are looking for Dietitians in Fife and we would love for you to join our Team!

This is a great opportunity to join our dynamic dietetic team which provides a clinical dietetic service in a range of specialist areas to Children and Adults both in the Community and Acute across Fife.  Induction and training will be provided for your transition into your new role! 

This role is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced dietitian who is keen to progress their leadership skills. Alongside the clinical lead dietitian, the position will support the operational management and provide clinical support to the dietetic team based at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline. 

The Older People’s Dietetic Team is redesigning its service and we are looking for a Dietitian with a range of clinical experience, supervision and evidence of leading on service improvement activities. You should have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and relish team working. You will be supported by the Clinical lead and other band 7 dietitians in the team and across the department. 

Queen Margaret Hospital is one of the two main hospitals in Fife and provides a range of inpatient and outpatient community and therapy services. These include medical and rehabilitation inpatient wards, a minor injuries unit, outpatient and diagnostic clinics including a regional endoscopy unit, children’s services, ante-natal and post natal care. The post holder will identify key areas for service development and will be responsible for their own clinical caseload.

The Nutrition & Clinical Dietetic Service: 
This is a Fife wide service providing a range of Dietetic Care to a Children and Adults in both Community and Acute Hospitals. The Service is currently arranged into clinical teams for; Acute, Adult Weight Management & Child Healthy Weight, Diabetes, Mental Health & Learning Disabilities, Nutritional Support, Older People and  Infant Nutrition & Paediatrics.  There is also specialist Dietitians working in the Health Promotion Food & Health Teams.  Fife has a Non Prescribing Ordering Model for Oral Nutritional Supplements; our service also includes non medical prescribing Dietitians.

The Dietetic Service takes both undergraduate and graduate Dietetic students for B & C programmes each year; involving staff in the delivery and organisation of the programmes.  New graduates to Fife will participate in the rotation programme across the various Teams as part of their continuing development.  The Service runs regular Service training sessions and supports staff in their continuing professional development.  The Service has good administration support, Information Technology, social media and online resources. 

Registered with HCPC, you will have the skills, competencies and experience appropriate for the post.
