NHS Lothian is growing clinical capacity across Primary Care in support of the Scottish Government’s Achieving Excellence strategy and in fulfillment of the plans for a pharmacotherapy service for General Practice.

Exciting opportunities have arisen to join our primary care team. We will consider both full time and part time applications. We require clinical pharmacists to deliver a range of clinical pharmacy services including medicines reconciliation, monitoring of high risk medicines and once qualifications obtained to be an active independent prescriber. You will be responsible for monitoring service delivery and providing reports to key stakeholders including Health and Social Care Partnership clinical leads.

You will have excellent organisational and presentational skills. A strong communicator you will liaise closely within multidisciplinary teams. Informal enquiries are welcomed.

The Primary Care Pharmacy Service is enthusiastic about participating in practice based research and of spreading quality improvement methodology.

Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills are required. This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
