The post is NHS Highland wide and the successful candidate will be based in Inverness or Lochgilphead.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Public Health Intelligence Specialist to join the Public Health Intelligence Team within the Directorate of Public Health and Health Policy. The team provide an expert resource on epidemiology, demography and population health evidence to meet the information needs of NHS Highland in support of the public health function.
The postholder will provide specialist advice and guidance based upon the innovative analyses of data using appropriate statistical and analytical approaches. The role requires the design and development of datasets and information requirements, together with the often complex analysis; interpretation and presentation/reporting of the resulting information. The post holder will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of work within the team.
The postholder must be educated to degree level in a numeric subject and demonstrate the ability to capture, analyse, interpret and present complex data in a way which enables ease of use and understanding by a range of audiences.
