Two exciting opportunities have arisen for Clinical Nurse Managers to provide senior professional and operational leadership for our clinical services across Unscheduled Care.
Post 1 – Clinical Nurse Manager – Medicine (Emergency Department, Medical Assessment Unit, Ward 5, Dialysis, Covid Ward)
Post 2 – Clinical Nurse Manager – Medicine (Department of Medicine for the Elderly, Borders Stroke Unit, Margaret Kerr Unit, Ward 4)
We are looking for committed, professional and dynamic clinical nurse managers with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with people. If you are passionate about developing staff, quality patient care and have a real commitment to delivering high standards whilst ensuring that our patients have the best possible experience while in our care then you’re the person we want.
It is essential you are a first level registered nurse with significant post registration / senior charge nurse experience demonstrating the appropriate competencies and skills for the role. Professional knowledge to degree level supplemented by specialist training or equivalent experience to masters level is required along with effective leadership, change management, financial management and service improvement skills.
The successful candidates will have excellent leadership and managerial skills with the ability to work to a tight deadline whilst providing assurance regarding person centred effective care delivery within clinical settings and ensuring professional accountability.
You will be willing and able to lead change and be committed to improvements to enhance quality, efficiency and effectiveness.

Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills are essential for this role, to exert influence and develop constructive working relationships across the disciplines with other service teams and with patients.
These posts are permanent, working 37.5 hours per week with an on-call rota system and require a PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check. A current driving licence is essential.
