Due to retirement, a rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced manager to join the NHS Forth Valley’s Operational Management team for Ambulatory Care, Diagnostics and Theatres (ADT).
The successful applicant will join a supportive team of other Operational managers working across Ambulatory Care, Theatre and Diagnostic Services. Each Operational Manager has responsibility for managing the performance, staff, resources and activity of their respective specialty areas. In addition, the Operational Manager will also help to develop future strategies to meet the future needs of the Forth Valley population. Furthermore, in addition to specialty-level business, the Operational Manager may be expected to work on a range of NHS FV wide issues, as Directed by Head of Service and Site Director.
Prospective applicants should have experience in in managing larger groups of staff and in leading larger-scale projects with high complexity and multiple stake holders. Candidates should be comfortable using and interpreting data, and using this to identify and monitor service performance.
Educated to degree level, they will have strong organisational abilities, with attention to detail. You will have the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
