We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Perioperative practitioners (scrub, anaesthetics, recovery) who is interested in developing their career in an education role.
Currently there is a vacancy for a Band 6 Practice Educator within the NHSG Theatre Academy. You should have professional registration with the NMC or HCPC and have extensive perioperative experience. You are required to be working at Post Graduate Diploma level with experience of mentoring, teaching and facilitation in a range of clinical and educational settings. Whilst an accredited teaching qualification would be desirable in order to lead and facilitate Practice Education and practice learning it is not required initially. A proven interest in training, education and professional development for all staff would be essential and further development would be supported within the role.
We would aim to appoint to the full time hours however we would welcome discussions regarding a variety of part-time hours or a job share.
You should have excellent care values and a strong sense of team spirit coupled with a sense of humour and willingness to travel throughout NHS Grampian if required. Enthusiasm to work, learn and develop self and colleagues within the exciting and challenging high pressure Perioperative environment. You will be dynamic and forward thinking in your approach and focused on providing safe, efficient and person centred care.
