An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join The Nutrition Team across NHSGG&C, based out of Queen Elizabeth University Hospital covering multiple sites in the South Sector.  You will be part of a dedicated Team who liaise with many different specialities (Upper GI surgeons, Gastroenterologists, Biochemists, Dieticians, Pharmacy Aseptic Lab and Interventional Radiology).  You will work collaboratively in liaison with the wider Nutrition Team and will regularly assess, plan and review the patient’s condition and the required reevaluation of patients’ needs. You will ensure each patient has a comprehensive ongoing person-centred management plan. You will competently perform the necessary technical, invasive, physical reviews and plan of care for this defined patient group. You will work autonomously utilising a specialist range of advanced knowledge, skills and theory in the delivery of Artificial Nutrition (both Parenteral and enteral).  You will be a first level registered nurse with the NMC and a degree is preferred but not essential. You should have an interest in Artificial Nutritional Support, however will receive full practical training on the various aspects of the role.

You will work flexibly across multiple sites within the board providing expertise to the care of this patient group and be able to provide advice/support to ward staff. Please note you will be required to use your own car for business purposes and a driving licence is essential
