We are looking to expand and strengthen our clinical team. We are a friendly, innovative practice serving the beautiful coastal town of Eyemouth and its surrounding villages in the Scottish Borders, 50 miles south of Edinburgh and 70 miles north of Newcastle. We have excellent transport links via the A1 and the East Coast Main Line rail service with the newly open Reston railway station only 10 minutes from Eyemouth.
We have a list size of approximately 6,600 patients and offer fifteen minute appointments, which are currently a mix of pre-bookable face to face and telephone appointments, with an acute team for on the day triage/assessments.
Our current clinical team consists of three Partners, with a fourth Partner due to start mid-July 2022. We also have one salaried doctor, two very experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioners, three Practice Nurses and support from Health Board First Contact Physiotherapy and Pharmacotherapy teams as well as a prescribing Pharmacist who we employ directly.
We are a training practice and regularly have a GPST attached to the practice. We are also currently providing mentorship to an NHS Borders trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner for the Urgent Care workstream of PCIP.
We are happy to offer between four and six sessions per week, though further sessions could be available for the right candidate, commencing Autumn 2022. Salary, study leave and annual leave in line with BMA model contract. Medical indemnity will be provided by the Practice as part of MDDUS group policy.
