​​​​​​​Under the supervision and direction of the Manager, you will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. You will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse, with evidence of continuing professional development and the ability to work without supervision. You will liaise with the Multi-Disciplinary Team and other agencies as required, utilising good verbal and written communication practices. In line with the philosophy of patient focused care, you will be responsible for assisting and providing specialist nursing care and treatment to individuals who have complex needs in dementia. You will demonstrate enthusiasm, a keen interest in delivering a high standard of evidence-based care. You will assist in leading and monitoring the performance of the nursing team and deputise for the Charge Nurse Senior Charge Nurse as required. Fruin Ward at the Vale of Leven Hospital will be the main base. After induction period the post holder will require to rotate between Fruin and Katrine Wards at the Vale of Leven Hospital and Glenarn Ward at the Dumbarton Joint Hospital.   

The shift pattern is 12 hour rotational.
