Based mainly in the Outpatient Cardiology team the successful candidate will work alongside current Cardiology Nurse Practitioners to continue to deliver and develop a wide range of independent nurse led specialist, Cardiology services such as Cardioversion, Chest Pain Clinics, Myocardial Perfusion Scanning. This is a continually evolving service and there will be ongoing developmental opportunities across the service. The Cardiology Nurse Practitioners work alongside a large team of Nursing, Medical, Allied Health professionals and other specialist services to provide support to cardiology patients across NHS Grampian. Further training and development is available to enable delivery of patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Applications are invited from staff that have completed an approved MSc programme in Advanced Clinical Practice or who have gained post graduate diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice. However, Applications will be considered from experienced cardiology staff who wish to develop into the Cardiology Nurse Practitioner role, this would be a training post for 2 years under Annex 21 and would be appointed at Band 6 rising to Band 7 on successful completion of post graduate diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice.
