An exciting permanent Maternity & Neonatal Therapist post at Band 6 (1.0wte) is available to join the newly enhanced Maternity & Neonatal Psychological Interventions Team within Greater Glasgow & Clyde Health Board. The post will cover acute based maternity & neonatal services at the Royal Hospital for Children, the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, the Princess Royal Maternity Hospital and the Royal Alexandra Hospital. The postholder will join a dynamic psychology team with professional leadership and supervision/CPD to ensure the very best clinical care is delivered. We benefit from close links with the University of Glasgow Doctoral Course in Clinical Psychology. You would contribute to improving access to psychological therapies for individuals within GGC maternity and neonatal services. You would be required to deliver specialised psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions to women and their families presenting with psychological issues associated with complex pregnancy and/or birth, paying particular attention to the infant-parent relationship. You may be required to conduct psychometric assessments of ex-high risk preterm infants at age 4 years. You would work independently on an allocated caseload with supervision from a clinical psychologist. You will have an honours degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) and have graduate basis for registration with the British Psychological Society. You will have specialist knowledge and supervised practice in the delivery of psychological assessment and intervention with adults or with children and young people and a knowledge and awareness of applied psychology in the NHS.
