This post is a development post; the candidate will initially be employed at Band 5, and with a period of training, yet to be confirmed, utilising KSF framework, will progress to a Band 6 post.
An Occupational Therapist, registered with HCPC, is sought to join the CAMHS OT and AHP team to work with children and young people aged 0-18 years, in a community setting within Grampian. This post will serve families within Moray and Aberdeenshire. The post holder will be based at the Rowan Centre, Elgin although there is flexibility with the working base to be at Links Unit, City Hospital, Aberdeen.
This is an exciting time in CAMHS with Scottish Government investment and a growing OT and AHP team. The post holder will be confident in OT practice and welcome the opportunity to extend skills, develop leadership skills, along with developing differing competencies in a more specialist CAMHS role. This role will utilise occupational therapy and generic mental health assessment and treatment skills. The person will require excellent communication skills and be a team player.
The CAMHS team is welcoming and has a broad range of skills and knowledge, which encompasses profession specific and other modalities.
Training and support for professional development will be provided and we are committed to regular supervision to support safe practice.
Candidates should be aware that there will be a requirement to travel across Grampian, therefore the ability to travel is essential to this post.
