Dental Health Support Worker Band 3

The post holder will be part of NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde’s Prison Healthcare Health Improvement Team and will be responsible for the delivery of oral health improvement programme in HMP Barlinnie, HMP Low Moss and HMP Greenock. The post holder will focus on delivering interventions to support good oral health, there will also be an expectation that the successful candidate will support and promote wider Health Improvement activities and initiatives.. The post holder should hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health Care, Childsmile or have equivalent experience working in a caring environment/role. The post will be primarily based within HMP Barlinnie but there will be a requirement to work across all 3 prison sites. The post holder should have comprehensive knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office Packages and have a good command of verbal and written English. The post is 37.5 hours with a shift pattern between Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm.
