Consultant Paramedic – Urgent Care & Primary Care (Band 8a)
Secondment until 31st March 2023

The Clinical Directorate has an opportunity for a motivated individual to join the team as the Consultant Paramedic for Urgent Care & Primary Care (UCPC). 
A full job description is attached, but main roles of the Consultant Paramedic UCPC will include continual development and overall clinical quality of SAS activity in urgent community and primary care. This will involve working with internal and external partners to deliver the priorities as established by the Urgent, Community and Primary Care Group in line with national strategies and policies. 

Reporting to the Lead Consultant Paramedic, the post holder will need to be able to work autonomously, show initiative and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement. 


To be successful in the role, as well as demonstrating our values, you will also be:

able to make decisions on complex issues based on analysis of information;
skilled in building relationships with stakeholders;
a visible leader and motivator.

We are looking for applicants to demonstrate their skills and experience in relation to all the above. 
Applicants should be an HCPC  registered Paramedic with a minimum of 3 years post registration experience. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate significant clinical knowledge and understanding of the key principales of Urgent Care & Primary Care.

The post holder should have demonstrable interest and experience of complex data sets, presenting to a diverse audience base, developing and implementing clinical guidance,quality improvement in the healthcare setting and have excellent communication skills.
