ROTATIONAL PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Grade: Band 5 Salary Scale: £26,104 - £32,915
Full time 37.5 hpw, permanent
Applications are invited from Physiotherapists who are keen to develop their clinical knowledge and skills in Inverness and Ross and Cromarty. This post includes rotations in Raigmore Hospital, the National Treatment Centre, the Royal Northern Infirmary, Inverness and Ross Memorial Hospital, Dingwall.
The rotations comprise 4 monthly placements in the following specialties; Orthopaedics (elective and trauma), Medical, Medicine for the Elderly, Surgical/ITU, Rehabilitation/Stroke, Rheumatology, Community and MSK Outpatients. Within these rotations, further experience can be gained in Hydrotherapy, Pulmonary and Vascular Rehabilitation, Prosthetics, Obstetrics/Gynaecology , Paediatrics and Occupational Health. An active continuous professional development programme, Turas and staff appraisal systems are in operation.
An emergency duty respiratory on-call service is provided on a rota basis. Orthopaedic services both at Raigmore and the National Treatment Centre are delivered over 7 days and as such weekend working is required when on rotation in these areas.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team of Physiotherapy staff in the provision of efficient and effective physiotherapy services is required as are excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Previous experience as a Band 5 Physiotherapist and supervising support worker staff is desirable.
