We are delighted to be advertising for a senior leadership position in the Highland Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service (DARS).  The Highland DARS is a multi-disciplinary service, comprising of Nursing, Medical, Allied Health Professionals, Clinical Psychology and support workers. This is an expanding service which creates an exciting, dynamic and creative environment in which to work.

The Strategic Lead will work closely and be under the direction of the Head of Service, taking responsibility for service development and monitoring across North DARS.

The post holder will provide Drug and Alcohol Recovery professional leadership and expert advice within the operational units across the five NHS Highland NMAHP Leadership dimensions. They will collaborate with the Area and District Managers to ensure the provision of high quality services to individuals, families and communities; and provide leadership, advice, and guidance in a range of activities pertaining to professional standards, strategic and risk management.  There will be an initial focus on leadership around the implementation of the Medically-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Standards. This is a senior position within the DARS senior Management team, therefore there will be a requirement to deputise for the Head of Service, as required. 

Highland DARS is a pan North Highland service; therefore, there is scope for flexibility around base location.  You will contribute to the shaping and development of the post.  This post is full time (37.5 hours/week) and permanent.

The post-holder will be an expert in the field, therefore, we would welcome interest from those with considerable nursing and leadership experience, preferably in the field of substance use and mental health. An  A.N.P qualification is desirable but not essential.
