This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated pharmacy technician to join the Primary Care Pharmacy Team in Glasgow City. There are posts with the team in the North East and South localities.
As a key member of the Prescribing Team you will have an important role in promoting and implementing cost effective and evidence based prescribing within specific GP practices and Care Homes across NHS GGC. This role will involve working with GPs and the primary care multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines management and deliver excellent patient care. This role will involve delivery of the pharmacotherapy service as part of the GP contract and will provide an important function in supporting patients with their medicines. The post requires excellent communication, negotiation, organisational and IT skills along with the ability to influence and affect change. This is an opportunity to develop your career in Primary Care working with multi-disciplinary teams, particularly GP Practices, Community Pharmacies, Care Homes and across other care settings. Experience of working in Primary Care or as part of a multi-disciplinary team is desirable. Minimum requirements: Pharmacy Technician, NVQ3 or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Equivalent. Registrant with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Minimum two years post registration.
