The Workforce Development Team, part of the Corporate Education Department, aims to inspire and inform career journeys and provide pathways and opportunities to our workforce. This is achieved by delivering work programmes such as apprenticeships, employability programmes and engagement with young people in education settings and beyond.
The team are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a B4 Workforce Development Admin Assistant, based at the Comely Bank Centre, Edinburgh; however, it will be required to have a blended approach with some home working. The successful applicants will join an exciting, innovative, and dynamic team to provide effective and efficient programme support and administration services on an ongoing basis throughout dedicated workstreams.
The successful person will enjoy working in a fast-paced and demanding role and have experience working towards tight timescales and have organisational skills that allow them to manage and prioritise their own workload with, at times, conflicting demands.
We are seeking an individual who continually demonstrates the NHS Lothian Values and someone who can effectively communicate both verbally and orally with tact and diplomacy. The successful candidate will evidence having advanced IT skills across both MS office software and working with web-based platform is essential due to the requirement of collating, interpreting, and reporting on complex data. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously, prioritise work, and use initiative to achieve the goals set within the agreed timescales. The position on offer will allow the postholder to utilise their excellent communication and time management skills.
Experience working in an administrative capacity within the NHS or Recruitment/Employability programmes is essential. Being Educated to SCQF Level 7 in Business or Administrative related subject or has equivalent demonstrated experience/knowledge in the key result areas.
