PRIMARY CARE PHARMACY SUPPORT WORKER

BAND 2

 (Salary £19,609 - £21,615)


 

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the HHSCP Primary Care Pharmacy Team in Caithness based at the Pharmacy Hub, Dunbar Hospital, Thurso as a Pharmacy Support Worker. The successful candidate will train towards obtaining an SVQ Pharmacy Service Level II qualification.


You will work alongside pharmacists and pharmacy technicians supporting the delivery of pharmacy services to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines. Day-to-day responsibilities include prescription management, dealing with medicines related queries, communication with community pharmacies and GP practices and collecting data and information for audit. 


Applicants must be able to work carefully, accurately and quickly in a busy environment and will be expected to work independently within the post although all duties will be carried out under the supervision of a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist and following Standard Operating Procedures.  Previous experience of working in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. You should have excellent communication and organisational skills and good IT skills.
