We have an exciting opportunity to join the Health Promotion Service as a Senior Health Promotion Officer. The Health Promotion Service is going through a period of rapid change and review to integrate more fully into our 2 Health & Social Care Partnerships. This generic role is responsible for supporting the delivery of a broad range of work programmes associated with the Health Promotion Service.  This post leads on a portfolio of activity which supports the Health Promotion Service Delivery Plan and contributes to national and local strategic priorities, including Scotland’s Public Health Priorities, NHS Forth Valley’s Health Improvement Plan and the Health and Social Care Partnership Delivery Plans.​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​This Senior Health Promotion Officer post will have responsibility for the continued development of the Health Improvement Resources Service ad a range of activities to support Forth Valley communities including our Community Grant Scheme. 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of current health improvement policy agenda and how it translates operationally as well as having excellent project and people management skills.  In addition, experience of partnership working, outcome driven programmes and workforce development are essential. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential.

The successful candidate will hold a first degree as well as a post graduate Masters qualification in health promotion or relevant area, and have significant experience in a health promotion/health improvement field.
