Who We Are
NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is the national health board with statutory responsibilities to effect sustainable change through workforce development, education and training across the health and social care system in Scotland, while working at UK level with partner organisations.
What you'll do
Key tasks will include but are not restricted to;
- Manage professional relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide advice on complex queries to ensure resolution
- Forecast support required in own work area, ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely manner. There is a need to ensure admin team is given training & have skills required to complete work as needed.
- Line management & supervision of staff as required.
- Project management and process development in line with the relevant legislation/policies.
- Provide a high level of administrative support to senior management.

You will be skilled in the support and coordination of multiple stakeholder networks and have the skills to work effectively & perform well in a fast-paced environment. The post holder should be experienced in line management and be confident in empowering a team to deliver the required outcomes by setting clear standards and providing feedback. You'll contribute towards a culture of high performance, learning and self-development, creating an exciting environment where everyone wants to come to work to do their best.
- previous experience of providing a high level of administrative support with the use of various digital systems and packages.
- previous experience within a HR role. Experience working in recruitment & selection, pre-employment checking including immigration would be advantageous.
- experience of managing volume, working and delivering to deadlines in a fast-paced, complex and changing environment
- ability to work confidently using own judgement, taking an innovative approach to problem solving
- experience of line management and supervision
