This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to work in a busy department which provides a full range of clinical and diagnostic services to NHS Tayside and North-East Fife and South Grampian


The Blood Sciences Department is based on two sites at Ninewells Hospital, a large Teaching hospital and Medical School, Dundee and Perth Royal Infirmary, Perth.


We are looking for a member of staff that can demonstrate team spirit, initiative, flexibility and has the enthusiasm to train further. You will be working in a refurbished state of the art laboratory with Siemens Atellica Solution. The Department provides specialist services in Drugs of Abuse testing, metabolic disorders, protein analysis and Point of Care Testing.


Post qualification professional development is encouraged and supported. On attaining appropriate competences you will join the roster for the Out of Hours sessions which will include some weekend, evening, overnight and public holiday duties.


You must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and working towards completion of the IBMS Specialist Diploma in Biochemistry or equivalent prior experience.


Hours of work are: 37.5 per week
