Please note this is a part-time post for 15 hrs and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
The Phlebotomist will collect blood samples by venipuncture or capillary route from Locality patients within the Health Centre, GP Practices, and Hospital.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB:
- A certificate in venepuncture is essential.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is required.
- Previous experience preferred.
- Require intensive one-to-one supervised training for an initial period of three months and regular updating of skills thereafter.
- High awareness of Infection Control policies and procedures.
- Manual dexterity is essential.
- Maintenance of CPR training.
