Vacancy for Practice Manager

Full time 37.5 hours per week

Salary depending on relevant experience but expected to be in the region of £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

We are currently seeking an energetic and assertive practice manager to join our team. We are a friendly organized and supportive small practice (4300 patients). Our current Practice Manager took up post in Jan/Feb of this year, however, sadly, due to living an hour away and having a small child starting primary school this year, has decided it would be best going forward for her family and the practice for someone else to take over the management of the practice.

We have four doctors, three partners and one salaried GP, and we are working towards our GP retainer and training practice accreditations. The nursing team consists of a Practice Nurse, Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Healthcare Assistant. We are ably supported by 5 Patient Care Advisors and a Clinical PA.  We also benefit from a full time Practice Mental Health Nurse, and full time Community Link Worker, as well as sessions from a Clinical Pharmacist and on-site District Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting teams and a Welfare Advice Service.

We are hoping to meet someone who can provide a comprehensive and pro-active managerial service for our growing practice, including full budget control, staff development and practice development. The ideal candidate will have management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, including financial budgeting, HR and supporting a team, but candidates with extensive managerial experience out with health care will be considered. Excellent interpersonal skills and an attitude of continuous improvement are essential.

We aim to be a family-friendly organisation and can offer some flexibility in working hours. Training and development are encouraged.
