This is an ideal opportunity for a Nuclear Medicine trained technologist / radiographer to further their career working as part of a team to deliver Nuclear Medicine services including PET-CT imaging and wide range of therapies at Gartnavel General Hospital and the Beatson Oncology Centre in Glasgow.
The PET-CT Centre has two modern PET-CT systems, a GE 690 scanner and a GE 710 system supported by an on-site cyclotron. The general Nuclear Medicine Department, which has one Siemens SPECT-CT and one Siemens SPECT scanner performs a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The new departments are bright, spacious and provide a pleasant working environment.
You will work in both PET-CT and Nuclear Medicine developing skills in both modalities. It is anticipated that the departments will continue to expand their research profile and you will contribute to this interesting, non-routine, aspect of the work.
You will have a Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent significant post qualification experience in Nuclear Medicine. DipIPEM(T) in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent is essential and you must be registered on the IPEM Register of Clinical Technologists; the AHCS register of Healthcare science practitioners or as a radiographer with the HCPC.
The hours of this post are worked 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday (may change to Early 8.00am to 4.00pm or late 10.30am to 6.30pm.
