An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an established therapy team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists working within the Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership Locality Hubs. These multidisciplinary teams provide short term interventions to support people at home who are experiencing a recent change in their circumstances that may result in a hospital admission or are ready to leave hospital to continue their rehabilitation.
This post holder will be working primarily with people who have fallen or at risk of falling. As part of the therapy team the post holder will be allocated a delegated caseload by the qualified AHP and be expected to work independently, assessing the patient’s care needs and/or modifying existing treatment plans and delivering this care without supervision. This includes assessing, progressing, reassessing and discharging people within the scope of practice.
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
