We have two full-time posts available for 37.5 hours: 1 x permanent and 1 x offered on a fixed contract for 6 months.

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen within Glasgow City HSCP Learning Disability Services for a Band 6 Community Nurse who is skilled and motivated to work within a Multi-Disciplinary Team to improve the health of people with Learning Disabilities.
You will need to be clinically experienced but also have the knowledge and ability to manage clinical issues and staff governance on a daily basis. You must have the ability to support the operational demands of the service, monitor and respond to clinical governance issues and have excellent interpersonal skills to motivate and develop staff.
You should have a commitment to patient centred care and the support of people with learning disabilities. You will carry an appropriate caseload, providing expert assessment, diagnosis, evidence based treatments and management of this specific individual group and be available to give advice and offer expert opinion to parents, family members, carers, care providers, local authorities and other health care professionals.
You will be expected to support the Nurse Team Leader to deliver safe and effective care that enhances the patient experience and contributes to the delivery of Local and National Policies. You must have relevant post registration experience.
