Older adult and stroke services within south sector are located across the QEUH campus, Gartnavel General Hospital and New Victoria Hospital. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to provide support across the sites.


This role will support a range of specialties including stroke, older adult assessment and older adult rehab. The individual will demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to project manage and support the delivery of service work streams such as frailty, stroke and movement disorder. The post holder would have direct oversight of outpatient and inpatient/day-case waiting lists in ine with Scottish Government guidance and Patient’s Rights Act 2011. Managing clinic capacity to ensure that clinical priorities and waiting time targets are met through effective use of available resources.
Overall responsibility for administrative services within the Sub-Directorate, and direct line management responsibility for Admin manager and phlebotomy lead. Leading service modernisation projects with multidisciplinary clinical teams. Day-to-day operational input to medical rota team arranging junior medical cover, ensuring service continuity and robust and support clinical governance actions.


We are seeking an enthusiast Service Support Manager who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills to secure clinical and operational engagement and support the delivery of safe, effective person centred care. The ability to work under pressure, managing deadlines and responding to changing priorities is essential. Experience in waiting list management, managing projects and knowledge of managing complex rotas is desirable.
