A Registered Nurse (Agenda for Change Band 5) position is open for applications within the Acute Stroke Service, North Sector of NHS GGC (Greater Glasgow and Clyde). The successful candidate will also enjoy workplace benefits packages. The successful applicant will work within multi-professional teams that ensure a high standard of care to the older adult population. Within Acute Strokes Services we pride ourselves in taking a patient centred approach, and the successful candidate shall use this in their practice, taking into consideration, the lifestyle, gender, and cultural background of the patient. Furthermore, the applicant shall ensure involvement with the patient, family and carers, and any significant others where relevant. The role requires the candidate to empower their patients to take an active role in their health, wellbeing, and future lifestyle, by being open, transparent, and inclusive. You will have the opportunity to develop this skill and ensure that patients are educated about their health so that they are able to participate in decisions regarding their care. You must be able to competently perform the necessary technical/invasive/physical aspects of care that occur within Acute Stroke services, in a compassionate and professional manner. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide clinical leadership for the evidence-based assessment of patient needs, implementation, and evaluation of care. The Acute Stroke Service can give the successful candidate a friendly, dedicated, forward-thinking work environment. Essential You must hold a current NMC registration and have post-registration experience.
