Staff Nurse – School Nurse

Uist and Barra

Band 5 - £26,104 to £32,915 per annum

Plus £1,117 Distant Islands Allowance per annum

37.5 Hours

Permanent Post


This exciting opportunity has arisen within the School Nursing Team in Uist and Barra. Part funding for this post has been made available from the Transformational Vaccination Programme to ensure the aims of Primary Healthcare Plan for school vaccinations can be achieved.  Applications are invited from first level registered nurses.

The Western Isles offer a safe and pleasant environment to live in with easy access to cultural, sporting and leisure activities. There are daily travel connections to the mainland via air and ferry. Applicants must be car owners and in possession of a full UK driving licence.

The successful applicant will be required to register with the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
