An opportunity has arisen to become part of our small Nursing team at the Dunbar Communtiy Hospital in Thurso.

We are an 8 Bedded unit (GP led) which includes 6 General beds and 2 Palliative care rooms. We currently have a mix of patients including slow stream rehabilitation with others awaiting community and long term care. Aside from the inpatient ward we have recently reopened the Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) from 8am-5pm and our team also support several OP clinics on site; so there will be several opportunities for the successful candidate to widen their skills and experience, and contribute to an evolving "local care" led Nursing service.

We are looking for a motivated, caring and courteous person to help us provide good quality care. Candidates should be enthusiastic and keen to develop skills and undertake additional training in order to develop their role. Experience in care of the elderly/palliative care nursing would be preferable.

We can offer up to 37.5 hours per week, permanent position, which involves working long shifts (12.5 hours) on a rotational contract in accordance with service requirements.  Job share candidates will also be considered.
