An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 1st level registered nurse to join the Tayside Childhood Immunisation Team. On completion of a robust induction and training programme you will deliver immunisations in community clinics, GP practices and schools across Tayside on a daily basis. You will also play a key role in health protection and health promotion.
The Immunisation Team deliver immunisations across Tayside in line with the Vaccine Transformation Programme. Immunisations are delivered to all children and young people from 0 – 18 years of age in GP surgeries, community clinics and schools as per the National Immunisation Programmes.
You will be supported in your role through:
- A tailored induction programme
- TURAS: Promoting Effective Immunisation Practice (PEIP)
- Access to a wide range of training and development opportunities
- The opportunity to work in a dynamic and changing service as we continue to implement Scotland’s National Vaccine Transformation Programme.
Registered Nurse with valid UK NMC Registration and previous experience of immunisations, working with children and families or working in a community clinic/GP surgery setting would be advantageous.
This post is a 22.5 hour post and is based in Dundee, however the ability to travel across Tayside when required to cover clinics is essential.
