As a vital part of NHS Scotland, NHS National Services Scotland’s mission is to enable and support the delivery of better health and better care, working in partnership.  We do this by providing a range of specialised support services that enable NHS Boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care.

Procurement, Commissioning and Facilities (PCF) provide specific services and expert advice across its portfolio of activity.  Outputs include specialist services commissioning, screening, national contracting, logistics, procurement systems, and professional advice and expertise about property, facilities, construction and equipment.

We are currently seeking an experienced Programme Support Officer to provide a full range of administrative support services. The post is based at National Distribution Centre, Canderside, Larkhall. 

An increasing number of fast moving programmes are being managed by the National Procurement Head of Governance and National Procurement Climate Change Lead.  The Programme Support Officer will directly support the National Procurement Head of Governance and National Procurement Climate Change Lead in their delivery by effectively managing and co-ordinating a variety of communications along with programme support and administrative dimensions across these programmes along with business as usual, in line with recognised Project Management methodology.

You should have substantive experience in a senior administrative role, preceded by experience in an administration role, be educated to HND or equivalent in Office Administration or a related subject.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as are well-developed organisational abilities and a flexible approach to working.   In depth knowledge of Microsoft office packages and excellent attention to detail.
