This post provides secretarial and administrative support to the Rehabilitation Service in North West Glasgow. The service provides inter-disciplinary rehabilitation to people in their own homes and receives referrals from a range of sources and by a range of methods.


The post-holder:

  • is required to organise the effective delivery of the service’s central point of contact with patients and other health and social care staff for referrals and enquiries. This will involve managing the office systems, and co-ordinating and supervising the other members of the admin team. It will also include development and improvement work, managing the various recording systems for the team and administration to ensure the efficient and effective running of the service.
  • is required to use initiative and problem-solving while exercising a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy and tact. They will have excellent communication skills, including responding to calls from patients with communication impairment.​​​​​​​
  • operates within pre-determined procedures and parameters but is required to act independently, prioritising work with periodic review from the Team Leader. They will be a team-player, highly motivated with good attention to detail.

You must have:

  • An excellent level of digital literacy is essential. This includes extensive skills in using core Microsoft Office 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Teams), alongside a good working knowledge of other M365 apps such as Forms, Sharepoint, OneNote etc.
  • Ability to operate phone systems, scanners, printers and other standard office devices is also essential.
  • Familiarity with EMISWeb or other electronic health and care record system, HR applications, and on-line procurement and asset management systems is desirable.

The above will be evidenced with recognised qualifications in administration (HNC or SVQ3) and computing (e.g. ECDL) or significant relevant equivalent practical experience.
